About Us

  Dylan founded Capacity Builders WA with the idea of providing a creative, tailored and highly ethical approach to assist all people achieve their goals. This approach is the result of over 12 years’ experience in Disability Services, Occupational Therapy and PBS consultancy throughout Western Australia. 

Dylan uses family-centred and play-based approaches to help children and young adults achieve quality life outcomes. His approach is bursting with fun and function. 

Rather than focusing on ‘behaviours’, 'challenges’ or ‘disability’, Dylan’s approach centres around upskilling the people and supports surrounding the person and child, so they can be their own agents of change. Through this process, we aim to facilitate independence and expect to see greater quality of life outcomes. 

Lynne is a highly skilled paediatric Occupational Therapist with 33 years of experience in a wide variety of roles helping children and their families.

Lynne’s specialty areas include Autism, sensory processing, emotional regulationand child development and assessment of function. She is skilled in consultative support for families and schools and is passionate about providing  support and training sessions for parents. 

We are privileged to have someone as experienced as Lynne on our Capacity Builders WA team. 

Sarah is a paediatric Occupational Therapist with a passion for working to support children with disabilities to live their best life. Sarah is a bubbly, creative and passionate OT, who isn’t afraid to think outside the box!

Sarah enjoys working with children with a range of disabilities, and specialises in are working with children with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder and attention hyperactivity disorder. She has a strong interest in early intervention, sensory processing difficulties/disorder, emotional regulation and providing support to parents and key stake holders to achieve the goals of their child.

We are thrilled to have Sarah join our OT team at Capacity Builders WA.

  Kristy comes with great experience in PBS and Education Support and came to Capacity Builders WA to have more flexibility, approachability and creativity in her approach. She values one-to-one service and works so hard to ensure the success for the people she works with. She is an absolute asset and has skills that can assure her success when working with you.
 

With skills as a Specialist Teacher working with children with disabilities and being competent to recommend and implement communication-based intervention, we are very fortunate to have Kristy on our team. 

  Jessica is passionate about working with people and understanding their needs. Her passion lies with helping people in the neurodiverse and LGTBQIA+ communities. She has vast experience in living amongst and working with members of these communities. 

Jessica approaches her work from a neuro affirming perspective, tailoring her work based on each persons’ strengths and the limitations in their surrounding environments. Jessica’s approach hold space for people to lean into neurodiversity rather than masking it to fit  into a neurotypical world.

Jessica brings compassion, hard-work, intuition and creativity as essential components to her work and we are lucky to have her on the team. 

Sophie has academic and life experience understanding people and their needs. Not only has Sophie developed knowledge in the areas of psychology and occupational therapy, Sophie also has valuable lived experience. 

Sophie adds to the team by being reliable, approachable and bringing a collaborative approach as an essential component to her work.  

She is extremely passionate about improving the lives of the people she is privileged to work with and is excited about bringing a creative and holistic apprach to her services.
